Our Beliefs
We believe the Bible is the inspired, absolute, and indispensable Word of God on which faith begins, and is the manual of instruction for this earthly life in preparation for entry to eternity.
2 Timothy 3: 16-17, Deuteronomy 4: 2, Psalm 119: 89, Romans 10: 17, John 12: 47-48
We believe that man by nature is sinful and can be saved from spiritual and physical destruction by Jesus Christ alone.
Romans 3: 23, Romans 7: 21-25, Psalm 32: 1-5, 1 John 1: 9, Ephesians 2: 8
We believe that God calls sinners to serve Him and become witnesses for His power and glory.
Acts 9: 1-5, Luke 5: 32
We believe that our faith in Jesus Christ is the beginning of transformation through regeneration.
John 3: 7-8, Philippians 1: 6, 2 Corinthians 5:17
We believe in the Great Commission that this community of believers, with sincere hearts and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience, and bodies washed with pure water, was established by the Holy Spirit to reach out and preach the Word and declare the mercy and goodness of the Lord, as the Spirit leads, to the entire world; and to manifest Christian values to all people both saved and unsaved.
Hebrews 10: 22, Matthew 28: 18-20, 2 Timothy 4:2
We believe that in fulfilling the Great Commission to make disciples and to teach observance of God's commands, we "do not speak in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches."; and "with the ability which God supplies that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever.”
1 Corinthians 2: 13, 1 Peter 4: 11
We believe that we are a faith-based church, concentrated on preaching the Word for growth, edification, and training of believers for leadership in God's field, through faith with obedience to become good stewards of the manifold grace of God. And, observance of the principle of tithing is the acid test of obedience because no one can serve both God and mammon. It is the evidence of honoring the Lord as God's Laws do not change. Jesus Christ did not come to destroy the Law or the Prophets but to fulfill the Law.
Matthew 5: 17, Matthew 6: 24, Malachi 3:9-10, Deuteronomy 14: 22-29, Leviticus 27: 30, Numbers 18:25-26
We believe that we are the body of Christ, and members individually, that there should be no division in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another. And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.
1 Corinthians 12: 25-27
We believe that integrity, humility, purity, truthfulness, loyalty, compassion, forgiveness, genuineness, cooperation and enthusiasm can preserve the unity in the church that will draw more people to God.
Ephesians 4: 1-3
We believe that true leaders are to serve and assist anyone to do even the menial tasks in the assigned places of worship. Jesus Christ did not come to be served, but to serve.
Matthew 20:26-28, Ephesians 6: 7-8, Colossians 3:23-24
We believe in the disciplines and chastisements of the Lord as the process of daily sanctification to become blameless and faultless at His coming.
Proverbs 3: 11-12, Hebrews 12: 11
We believe that all authority comes from God. The position of leadership is an appointment from God and is to be given due respect.
Romans 13: 1-2
We believe that the church will continue to grow and overcome the tests that come when peace and unity in the body is preserved and observed.
1 Corinthians 1:10, 1 Corinthians 10:13
